AUGUST 13
Washington – The Obama administration is hosting a conference on housing finance reform on Aug. 17, calling upon a broad panel of experts to provide critical input on issues such as the future of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and the government’s role in ensuring the availability of affordable housing for both homeowners and renters. The Aug. 17 conference at the Treasury Department in Washington D.C. will be the first of a series of events designed to get input on this issue from the widest possible spectrum, administration officials said.
